Miss K. Merita is an Economics teacher at Little Star Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur. A graduate of Patkai Christian College, Chumukedima, she went on to earn her master’s degree from NEHU Shillong, where her passion for economic thought and analysis deepened. Clearing the National Eligibility Test (NET) further sharpened her expertise, but she firmly believes that true learning extends beyond textbooks—it thrives in curiosity, discussions, and real-world applications.
Known for her dedication, warmth, and approachable nature, Miss Merita creates a learning space where students feel encouraged to think critically, participate actively, and grow with confidence. Her goal is not just to teach economics but to inspire young minds to see its relevance in everyday life, equipping them to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving world.
Miss Merita also loves travelling to new places and exotic environment to relax as well as to learn.

She has a total of 10 years of work experience teaching Economics in B.A, B.Com, classes 11 & 12 students in Mount Mary College & class 11 & 12 at Little Star Higher Secondary School.

She completed herHSLC from N.P.C. School Chumukedima, HSSLC & B.A – Patkai Christian College Chumukedima & M.A (Economics)- NEHU Shillong. NET qualified.

She has undergone trainings such as “The Training Programme on the Art and Science of Question Making” and “Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices – Mock Evaluation.”
